If there is anything that differentiates winning from losing, it is 'attitude.' It is attitude that defines one's personality and becomes the face of the person to the outside world. Success comes to those who have the right attitude which helps them turn challenges into opportunities. One of the ways in which right attitude is visible is in not giving up. A person with the right attitude never gives up and relentlessly works towards accomplishing his/ her goals. Such a person will always be a winner.
A winner is driven by a tireless pursuit of goals, success and perfection. He/ she is identified by a 'can do attitude.' The goals or objectives that the winner sets for himself/ herself are so precious and worthy that he/ she feel a sense of automatic motivation which compels them to keep striving and work with zeal and determination until they reach those goals or objectives.
A winner is identified by self- belief and a sense of conviction. A winner can rise above the ordinary and see things which the others cannot. This, together with an undying spirit that characterizes a winner, ensures that victory or success is his/ hers.
Such a person never loses focus or allows himself/ herself to get distracted from the goals. As the person is not worried about things beyond control and concerns himself/ herself only with things within control, he never loses focus. Single-minded determination makes him/ her tide over all obstacles.
Contrarily, a person who stops trying can never be a winner. The very act of giving up or not trying with complete force is in itself a sign of a 'loser.' Such a person lacks conviction and self- belief to an extent that he/ she ends up doubting his/ her own goals and ability to reach those goals.
Therefore, it is important to not let failure act as a deterrent.Thomas Edison, for instance, failed a 1000 times before tasting success and creating a light bulb. Had he stopped after the 1st failure, the world would not have witnessed his glorious and significant contribution to mankind.
In the sports field, for instance, there is only one way the sportsman can win- by never ceasing to try. The quest for sporting glory drives the sportsman to put in years of hard work and keep trying to get better and better. In the process, the sportsman sacrifices a million things and keeps pushing the envelope of brilliance and success.
